Soul nourishing sessions

An online global community seeking to cultivate safety and connection by unlocking the language of our body and integrating our mind, body, and voice.

In our modern society where conformity, false urgency, suppression, and busyness are normalised, creative and embodied expression becomes an act of rebellion.

I created these online sessions to share with you practices that help me and my students get out of survival mode and into the realm of being.
It is in our hands to provide an antidote to living in this modern world and be in touch with how our body is communicating with us.

Whoever you are and whatever your background is, there is a space for you here.

“Only by experiencing safety in our body and mind, our true voice can be heard and our full potential can be shared.” – Andria Antoniou

I wanted to create a space for people from all walks of life and places  in the world to meet at the end of their day to decompress and experience a sense of safety, presence, and connection through their body, voice, and breath.

We begin by learning how to navigate our inner landscape through our breath and senses.
We learn how to decipher the language of our body to be more in touch with the way it is trying to communicate with us.  We carefully listen to the signals sent to bring us back to a state of balance and integrity – homeostasis. We work towards embodying our expression by reawakening the impulse to speak and/or sing as a result of a spontaneous emotional impulse, free from inhibitions, fear, and suppression.

Some of the practices explored include: combination of somatic and vocal exercises, tension release exercises, vagus nerve stimulation through movement and sound, breathwork, and learning songs as a practice of embodiment.

In these sessions, we give space to the voice that lies within us, integrating it with the body and mind to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation.  Our voice, breath, and body are always available to us and are incredibly powerful in affecting our psychophysiology. Our society will benefit greatly if we start normalising singing as part of everyday life, as part of our  nature. Singing and movement are powerful ways to meet ourselves and our emotional needs day-to-day.

“The ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.” – Maya Angelou

Everyone has a voice!

These sessions are open to everyone. No previous experience in singing or movement is needed.

You will be on mute during the sessions so can explore your voice freely without needing to worry about being heard.

These sessions are for you if you would like to:

  • Make space for yourself to attune to your emotions and needs with a sense of safety

  • Establish mind-body-voice connection and embodied expression

  • Identify and let go of mental and physical blockages reflected in the voice, body, and posture

  • Learn how to focus on presence and not perfection

  • Use singing and movement as tools for self-exploration and for finding alliance with your body

  • Improve your breathing, posture, vocal sound, and overall state of mind

Testimonials - group sessions

"Thank you for the wonderful vocal workout sessions Andria. I have found them so useful for building my own routines. I'm enjoying a more consistent practice for the first time ever. The sessions are also very freeing and you have such a calm and collected manner when delivering the sessions as they are so well considered. You always tell us the why behind the exercises and this helps us to be more self aware as singers and build technique. I have loved rediscovering how a skilled teacher can help you on your journey as a singer and also as a human being."

- Stephanie Hladowski, singer and singing teacher
